Networking Basics (CompTIA Network+)

Training duration: The total volume of the training is 50 academic hours, of which 40 are hours of classroom and practical work (5 days) and 10 are the completion of laboratories in the CompTIA e-environment as homework during the training period.

Target audience: The training is intended for first-level IT support professionals who have basic knowledge of computer hardware, software and operating systems and who want to gain more knowledge of how computer networks work in order to advance on the career ladder.

Prerequisites: Basic skills in using the Windows operating system, at least a few months of experience working in IT support, CompTIA A+ certification or related knowledge and skills are beneficial, but not mandatory. Knowledge of the English language (learning materials are in English).

Contents of this training

Network+ training builds on the user’s existing experience to expand knowledge of personal computer operating systems and computer networks. Basic skills will be acquired that will be useful when working as a network specialist.

Purpose of training

The purpose of the training is to provide additional knowledge of personal computer operating systems and computer networks and to help acquire basic skills that will be useful in any occupation related to computer networks.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the training, the participant:

  • can design and build functional networks;
  • can configure, manage and maintain important network equipment;
  • can use switches and routers to segment network traffic and create reliable networks;
  • can identify advantages and disadvantages of existing network configurations;
  • can apply network security standards and protocols;
  • can troubleshoot network problems;
  • can support the creation of virtualized networks.

Conditions for completion of training: At the end of the training, the training center issues a certificate or certificate to those who have completed the training. At the end of the training, a certificate will be issued if at least 80% of each subject of the curriculum and other requirements arising from the training program (e.g. exam, accounting, practical work, etc.) have been completed. A certificate of participation in or completion of in-service training is issued to a person if during the training the achievement of the learning outcomes was not assessed or if the person did not achieve all the learning outcomes required to complete the curriculum.

  • a prepared workplace with the necessary hardware and software in the classroom. If necessary, we provide the participant in the online environment with remote access to the software required to participate in the training;

    official CompTIA study materials;
  • a trainer who has passed the CompTIA certification exams and has work experience in the relevant field;
  • consultation of the trainer on the topics learned by e-mail after the training.
