Security basics (CompTIA Security+)
The Security+ training course provides a comprehensive introduction to essential security concepts, equipping participants with fundamental skills in identifying and addressing cybersecurity threats. Covering topics such as network security, cryptography, and risk management, this course is designed to prepare individuals for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam.
Training duration: The total volume of the training is 50 academic hours, of which 40 are hours of classroom and practical work (5 days) and 10 are the completion of laboratories in the CompTIA e-environment as homework during the training period.
Target audience: This course is still designed for learners who have experience as IT professionals with experience in TCP/IP networking and Windows administration, and who want to gain additional knowledge of security topics or use this course as the foundation for advanced security certifications and career roles.
Prerequisites: To ensure your success in this course, you should have basic Windows user skills and a fundamental understanding of computer and networking concepts.

COMPTIA SECURITY+ training includes key cybersecurity terminology and concepts up front to provide a foundation for security controls discussed throughout the course. The course includes security implications of different architecture models, principles of securing enterprise infrastructure, and strategies to protect data and applying and enhancing security and vulnerability management techniques, as well as security implications of proper hardware, software, and data management. Purpose of training
In this course, you will use fundamental security principles to install and configure cybersecurity controls and participate in incident response and risk mitigation.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the training, the participant:
- is able to recognize and respond to attacks and perform security checks;
- knows how to use security assessment tools;
- can explain the basic concepts of cryptography;
- knows how to implement public key infrastructure and identity and access management controls;
- can manage access services and accounts;
- can implement a secure network architecture;
- knows how to install and configure security devices;
- can install and configure wireless and physical access security;
- can implement secure network access protocols and network applications.
- can explain the concepts of risk management and disaster recovery and the concepts of organizational security;
- can describe the concepts of secure application development.
Conditions for completion of training: At the end of the training, the training center issues a certificate or certificate to those who have completed the training. At the end of the training, a certificate will be issued if at least 80% of each subject of the curriculum and other requirements arising from the training program (e.g. exam, accounting, practical work, etc.) have been completed. A certificate of participation in or completion of in-service training is issued to a person if during the training the achievement of the learning outcomes was not assessed or if the person did not achieve all the learning outcomes required to complete the curriculum.

- the training center provides a prepared workstation with the necessary hardware and software in the classroom. For participants attending the training in the online environment, remote access to the required software is provided if needed;

- the training is delivered by an instructor who holds at least level 5 of an adult educator qualification and has relevant work experience in the respective field;
